FINDING YOUR PLACE TO SERVE
Finding Your Place to Serve will help you find a place to serve at Grace Church. This is a one-year commitment to serving in a ministry, starting January 01. Some of these positions will be in bold print. This indicates a position which requires extra time commitment. You may check other voluntary positions, but you should check only one of these bold-print positions.
CONNECT
Connecting ministries are our front-line ministries. They are the starting place for the rest of our ministries. These ministries focus on getting the word out about Jesus Christ and Grace Church. Our initial contact with the community happens through the following teams:
EVANGELISM, OUTREACH, AND PUBLICITY TEAM
The purpose of this team is to make our community aware of Grace Church and its ministries, and more importantly to find creative ways of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people around us. This team meets monthly to focus on and to strategize about carrying out the task of promoting the Gospel of Christ and the ministry of Grace Church.

JAIL MINISTRY TEAM
The purpose of this team is to provide a worship experience, once a month on fourth Sundays, for the men and women incarcerated at Ballard County Jail and to provide an educational/discipleship lesson, using a 12-month curriculum designed to teach life skills—such as, money management and relationship skills as well as Biblical instruction and Christian living. This team is led by the pastor and requires a one-hour training session and background check through the Ballard County Jail system.

HOSPITALITY TEAM
When folks from our community respond to our initial contact by visiting our church, a new opportunity is created. What happens next depends on the Hospitality Team. This team creates an atmosphere of warmth and reception, which makes it easier for visitors to connect with Grace Church.
All members of the hospitality team are responsible on their assigned week for arriving at 9:15 a.m. for a quick team meeting, and for being ready by 9:30 a.m.

This team helps to build a sense of community across our entire church family by providing monthly opportunities for our church to come together as a whole congregation. Due to the nature of the tasks this team is responsible for, the team meets only once every other month.

Meet on the second Wednesday of each month for fellowship, study, to plan events, and to support the mission work of Grace Church. All are invited to attend these open meetings.
YOUTH AND CHILDREN
Grace Church is a Safe Sanctuary church. A background check and familiarity with our Safe Sanctuary policy is required for working with minors at Grace Church.

Serve ministries come in two categories, administration and missions.
- Teams carry out administrative functions by supporting and enabling the other ministries of Grace Church.
- The mission work of Grace Church is about taking the work and message of Jesus Christ to our community, region, country, and world.
ADMINSTRATIVE SERVICE
LAY LIFE TEAM- Responsible for two areas:
- Helping the people of Grace Church to identify and use their spiritual gifts. This is done by helping to make sure each person has gone through the Grace Courses and by making sure that every year friends and members of Grace fill out the Finding Your Place to Serve survey. The Team is then responsible for helping each person get plugged into an area of service.
- Meet with the pastor monthly to stay in tune with the spiritual needs of the church.
